Capture One
Capture One metadata setup
Only Capture One-relevant controls. Lightroom Collections are intentionally excluded.
AI generation 0.1.9 now
New AI keywords
Number of new keywords requested from MetaMagic.
50
Use existing Title / Description as AI context
Useful when the image already contains factual editorial information.
Special AI Instructions 0.1.9 now
Enable additional instruction
Appended to MetaMagic’s protected system prompt; it does not replace the main rules.
Location & capture date 0.1.9 now
Use embedded GPS + reverse geocoding
Reads coordinates before generation, sends location context to MetaMagic and fills IPTC Location / City / State / Country / ISO code.
Include capture date in Description
Uses EXIF capture date when available.
Capture One location policies 0.2.0
Editorial & IPTC core nowfull 0.2.0
Editorial caption mode
Factual caption style with available date/location context.
Write Creator / Author
0.1.9 writes Creator and also uses the value for rights/credit when empty.
IPTC Contact 0.2.0
Keywords in Capture One 0.2.0
Why no AI Collections?
Capture One has Albums and Smart Albums, but the supplied plugin SDK does not expose APIs to create/manage them. MetaMagic should instead write reliable Keywords, Location, Color Tag and Rating values that you can use in Filters and Smart Albums.
Color Tag & Rating 0.2.0
Apply Capture One Color Tag
Uses Capture One’s English tag names in XMP. Intended for deterministic workflow states, not aesthetic judgement.
We deliberately do not let AI “judge” image quality by default. Rating is only a workflow action unless you later choose to add a dedicated quality model.
MetaMagic AI classification stored nowselectable 0.2.0
Visible AI summary in IPTC Instructions
Labels, landmarks, locations, logos, faces/general expressions, OCR, safety and dominant colors. The current plugin writes all available fields.
Add OCR text to Keywords
Off by default to avoid keyword pollution.
Capture One workflow auto reload now
Automatically reload metadata after generation
Current 0.1.9 already performs this automatically; the switch becomes user-configurable in 0.2.0.
Diagnostic logging
Recommended during Capture One beta testing.
