The MetaMagic Plugin does not impose a limit on the number of photos you can select for batch processing. However, based on our internal testing, we recommend processing up to 100 photos at a time for optimal performance and to ensure smooth operation. Each photo typically takes between 5 and 10 seconds to process, depending on your computer’s performance and internet connection speed. While it is technically possible to process thousands of photos in one go, keep in mind that larger batches might require significantly more time to complete. For best results, we suggest dividing larger projects into smaller batches, as the overall result remains the same but with a more manageable workflow.
No, your photos remain on your local device. Only the necessary metadata information (such as descriptions, keywords) is sent to external servers for processing. Your full images are not uploaded or stored on external servers. For more details, refer to our Privacy Policy.
Only essential metadata, such as image descriptions and keywords, is shared with external APIs (like OpenAI) to generate more accurate metadata. Your original image data remains secure and is not shared. Additionally, if GPS information is present in your metadata and the option is enabled, it can be used to enhance the metadata by generating location-specific tags. However, if you choose to disable this option, no geographic tags will be generated even if the GPS data is present in the image. Please review our Privacy Policy for more information on data usage.
Yes, your privacy is a priority. The images are encoded and securely transmitted to external servers for processing. OpenAI, the external API we use, does not store your images or personal data once the metadata generation is complete.
